Brief
Irish Sailing requested our assistance with the delivery of a new website. The existing website was dated, content heavy and overwhelming, and no longer supported the national governing body’s objectives. The new website also needed to bring ‘in-house’ a separate Try Sailing website with its own look and feel.
Challenges
Duplicated content
Not optimised for mobile
Branding unclear
Multiple stakeholders
Limited resources
Poor user experience (UX) – complex navigation, unstructured content, multiple menus (both menu bars and on page menus), unintuitive language, unclear UX system, duplicated titles)
Before – Extensive, multiple menus across the site made navigation difficult
Before – A tired looking website in need of a user-friendly UI interface and a fresh design
